One Instrument, Four Measurement Modes
Select the measurement mode from the control panel to suit the examination sequence.
Combined measurement
Refraction and keratometry in a combined measurement mode.
Refraction
Objective refractive measurement with sphere, cylinder and axis output.
Keratometry
Corneal curvature, corneal power and corneal astigmatism.
Contact lens base curve
A dedicated mode for measuring contact lens base curvature.
Familiar Controls, a Straightforward Sequence
Joystick alignment with automatic capture
Fine-position the instrument with the joystick while checking the alignment target on the color display. Automatic measurement starts when the alignment and focus conditions are met; manual measurement is also available.
Direct access through physical buttons
Use the control panel to select measurement modes, review results and adjust measurement and print settings. Automatic fogging supports the refraction measurement sequence.
Results on paper, at the instrument
The integrated thermal printer provides a local printout. Select the print format and included data fields, with automatic printing after both eyes available in the instrument settings.
ARK-8900 Frequently Asked Questions
Is the ARK-8900 fully automatic?
The operator aligns and focuses the instrument with the joystick. Automatic capture is available once measurement conditions are met. It is not a fully automatic three-axis positioning system.
What does CLBC mode measure?
CLBC is the contact lens base-curve measurement mode. It does not refer to axial length measurement or full corneal topography.
Can the measurement results be printed?
Yes. The instrument includes a thermal printer with selectable print formats and configurable data fields.
