Static Visual-field Assessment
The BIO-1000 Plus automatic perimeter is a static visual-field system for trained eye-care professionals. It combines a hemispherical visual-field stimulator, camera monitoring, patient response control and computer-based operation for examination, record management and result review.
Central and Peripheral Test Coverage
The listed viewing distance is 300 mm, with a white background luminance of 10 cd/m². The stated minimum test-point extent is 45° nasal, 70° temporal, 45° superior and 60° inferior. The system provides at least 60 stimulus positions within 0°-25°, 30 positions beyond 25°-50° and 15 positions beyond 50°-70°, for a total of 105 minimum positions.
Programs and Result Review
Central programs include 30-2, 24-2 and 10-2. Macular and Nasal Ladder programs, threshold and screening strategies, and user-defined program creation are also described. Patient records can be created, saved, browsed and printed. Reliability information includes false-positive, false-negative and fixation-loss indicators, while summary indices include MS, MD, SF and PSD.
Positioning and Connectivity
A camera supports observation during testing. The listed chin-rest travel is 30 ± 5 mm horizontally and 40 ± 5 mm vertically. Four USB 2.0 interfaces support compatible keyboard, mouse or printer connections, and the system lists an RJ45 Ethernet interface. Any database transfer, network or institutional-system deployment must be confirmed for the selected installation.
