Digital vision charts: how to choose

A digital vision chart displays optotypes and test charts on an LCD screen, so the examiner can change letters, sizes and tests instantly and avoid patients memorising a printed chart. Mirror modes allow the chart to be used in shorter rooms.

ENOCHTEC offers two 21.5-inch Full HD charts: one designed to connect wirelessly with an auto phoropter and one with remote, app and RS-232 control.

Questions to answer before you choose

  1. How long is your room? Confirm the working distance or plan a mirror setup for shorter rooms.
  2. Will the chart be controlled from a phoropter? Choose a chart that connects with your auto phoropter to switch tests from one controller.
  3. Which patients do you test? Children and non-readers need symbol and Tumbling E optotypes.
